Chanting Choir Practice

Sound healing originated in India where it was called Nada Yoga. These techniques made their way to Egypt and from there through Pythagoras to Greece. Also from India they went to China, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

The underlying theory is that when we tune our own physical vibrations to the harmonious vibrations of the universe, we balance mind, body, and spirit.

This is not a lecture class. It is participatory. We’ll begin learning the correct techniques of chanting with the seed syllables and then move to mantras and dharanis.

It will not be progressive so that you can come any Wednesday night and join in. The Wednesday night practice begins May 8th and continues every Wednesday through the end of August.

Buddhists and non-Buddhists are welcome. Chanting is universal.
