Dear friends,
Our May sesshin will begin the morning of Saturday, May 10th and continue through the evening of Wednesday, May 14th. Patterned on zen monastic practice, this practice period will include zazen (seated meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), work periods, and dharma talks. Meals will be eaten in traditional oryoki style (instruction provided), and we will take turns cooking, serving, and cleaning up. The suggested donation for all five days is $75. To reserve a space please write to info@hakubai.org.
Also, in addition to our regular weekday and Sunday practice times, we are again practicing on Tuesday evenings, 5:30-6:30 PM. After a period of sitting, we will do walking meditation outside around the pond, weather permitting. You are welcome to join any time.
Come to Hakubai
Where the air is fragrant
The water pure
And flowers bloom in the clear sky.
Come to Hakubai
The Way is hard to find.
The more you seek it, the more it will elude you
If you don’t try with your whole being
You’ll never find it.
Come to Hakubai
Where the stones talk
The trees walk,
And flowers bloom in the clear sky.
